DIY Homemade Firming Eye Cream to Reduce Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Skincare is extremely important to me, as I am sure it is to you as well! And while I want to make sure my skin stays healthy and happy as I get older, I also want to avoid many of the chemicals and toxic ingredients that are often included in over-the-counter products that are said to benefit your skin.

If you are looking to make your own DIY Eye Cream, this homemade eye cream recipe is so easy!

Each ingredient has been purposely that has been chosen for this recipe.

There are so many good reasons you should make a DIY Firming Eye Cream. One, you could not go to a department store or spa and get this amazing eye treatment.  It’s that good. Two, making lotion is so rewarding and fun. Three, there are so many crazy wrong ingredients in over the counter anti-aging products but this one is safe, clean, and effective. I’ve made this DIY several times because it is one of my favorite recipes to make. I’ve formulated it full of the best anti-aging, natural ingredients to firm, smooth and nourish the delicate skin around your eyes!

HOW TO MAKE NATURAL EYE CREAM FOR Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Are you ready to make your own DIY natural eye cream?

DIRECTIONS:

  • Add ½ cup coconut oil in a bowl and heat it in a microwave for 10 to 20 sec until completely melted.
  • Squeeze Vitamin E capsules liquid into your oil.
  • Add in 10 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil and ¼ teaspoon of Rose essential oil for extra skin tightening.
  • Add 5 drops lavender Essential Oil
  • Pour the mixture into a small glass container.
  • Put into the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until the liquid returns to solid form.
  • After it turns to a solid, there is no need to keep it refrigerated. The oils will not become rancid.

Your homemade eye cream should last up to a year.

All of these essential oils are a great addition to your eye cream.

They are known to smooth and tighten delicate skin areas like under the eyes.

HOW TO USE

After washing your face apply a small amount of the eye cream by dabbing gently underneath your eyes and on your eyelids. But avoid getting this cream in your eyes. Use a moisturizer on the rest of your face like normal. The eye cream is definitely best used at night so it has time to really moisturize. You can also use it before you apply makeup. Just give it 10 minutes or so to soak into your skin before applying makeup.

BENEFITS OF THE INGREDIENTS

Frankincense Essential Oil

In 2003 study found that frankincense oil may help reduce or prevent the appearance of sunspots. This can improve skin tone while also reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The oil may also help generate new skin cells.

Rose oil

This oil is rich in essential fatty acids and contains vitamins E, C, D, and beta carotene. Chock-full of goodness, it helps to protect and hydrate skin, fight free radical damage, and reduce wrinkles.

Lavender essential oil

Lavender essential oil is healing and moisturizing as well as antifungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic!  Why I add it in this cream is for the smell.  It has a fresh smell that cuts the scent of carrots!

Vitamin E capsules

Hyperpigmentation. Dark patches on your skin can be caused by too much pigment (melanin), which is triggered by hormones or other causes. Preventing aging and wrinkles on your face. Vitamin E is high in antioxidants, and it affects blood circulation. Treating acne scarring. For smooth, soft lips.
